[Ethereum] - Holesky Network Deprecation on November 7th, 2025

Investigating - Blockdaemon will discontinue support for the Ethereum Holesky network following its official deprecation by the Ethereum Foundation. API services for Ethereum Holesky will be terminated on November 7, 2025. Customers currently using the Holesky network should migrate to the Hoodi network.

Summary
The Ethereum Foundation has announced the shutdown of the Holesky test network. Blockdaemon will align with this deprecation by terminating Holesky API services and transitioning to the new Hoodi test network.

[Polygon] – Archive node synchronization issues on Erigon client

Investigating - Summary:
We have identified an issue affecting Polygon dedicated archive nodes running the Erigon client. Nodes are encountering synchronization failures due to repeated bad block validation errors, preventing them from staying in sync with the network.

Impact:
Customers operating Polygon dedicated archive nodes may experience sync interruptions or failed restarts when running the Erigon client. Other node types and clients are not affected.

[OP Superchains] - Jovian Hardfork - Sepolia Network Nov `12`, `2025` `15:30`-`17:30` UTC

Blockdaemon will update all OP Superchains Sepolia network nodes — including Optimism, Base, Ink, Soneium, Unichain, and Celo — to the Jovian Hardfork on Wednesday, 12 November 2025 at 16:00 UTC.
We are updating our nodes in line with the official Optimism network schedule. There will be planned downtime of up to ten minutes during this maintenance window.

Summary of Technical Changes
• Cannon Go 1.24 support: Upgrading the on-chain fault proof virtual machine implementation to support Go 1.24.
• Configurable Minimum Base Fee: Allows chain operators to specify a minimum base fee to shorten the length of priority fee auctions (disabled by default).
• Data Availability Footprint Block Limit: Adds an in-protocol limit to estimated DA usage of transactions to prevent DA spam and priority fee auctions (enabled by default; can be disabled via zero scalar on-chain).

Customer Impact
During the scheduled maintenance window, customers may experience brief interruptions in access to Sepolia network endpoints across all OP Superchains while nodes upgrade to the Jovian Hardfork.
