Blockdaemon would like to inform customers that although the Testnet restart commenced yesterday, it failed in the early hours of this morning. The Solana Foundation are investigating the issue and a new restart will begin once the issue has been diagnosed. We have extended the maintenance window as a result, and will update with more information as we have it.

Blockdaemon would like to inform customers that the Solana Foundation will be halting the Solana Testnet network from the start of epoch 700 as part of the normal stabilization process for v2.0
The schedule will be as follows;
- Tuesday / Wednesday (October 8th/9th): Halt testnet just after the start of epoch 700 (approximately 10/09/2024 01:40 UTC) - Wednesday (October 9th): Restart instructions are shared and restart begins. The restart will involve generating testnet snapshots from the start of epoch 700 with v2.0 feature gates disabled so we can restart the cluster on v1.18. - After cluster restarts: Upgrade testnet to v2.0.
We will update with more information as we have it.
