Scheduled - Polygon's mainnet will undergo a major network migration from Heimdall v1 -> Heimdall v2 on 07/10/2025. The migration will occur between 2 and 5 PM UTC. As soon as the halt height 24404500 is reached, the Polygon team will create the v2 genesis and distribute to the community. The migration will cause up to two hours of downtime for mainnet.

Heimdall v2 brings a number of changes to the protocol:

PIP-44 – Cosmos SDK 0.50.x Upgrade
PIP-43 – CometBFT Integration

Amsterdam Datacentre Cooling Issue
Resolved - Ambient temperatures at the AMS1 datacenter are now nominal once again per on-site monitoring. The facility provider has confirmed a solution was implemented and the cooling issue is now resolved. Blockdaemon's network and services remained available throughout the incident.

Scheduled - Blockdaemon will update Cardano nodes to v10.4.1 and Ogmios nodes to v6.13.0 on 07/01/25. We are updating our nodes due to a release from the Cardano foundation. This update applies to all Blockdaemon Cardano and Ogmios nodes, there will be planned downtime of up to 60 minutes per node.

Please be aware that the Ogmios release contains the following breaking change:
- queryLedgerState/dump no longer return a hex-encoded CBOR dump as part of the JSON response, but instead, serialise directly to a specified on-disk location.
- queryLedgerState/rewardsProvenance has been renamed to queryLedgerState/stakePoolsPerformances.
- queryLedgerState/rewardAccountSummaries now returns a list of results instead of a map. While this is technically a breaking change, it is necessary to fix scenarios where a credential exist as both script and verification key and would therefore lead to conflict in the key space. The response is otherwise similar to its previous form.

We have tested the release and do not anticipate any unexpected downtime other than mentioned above as a result of the update. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

[Polygon] - Bhilai Hard Fork - Mainnet

Scheduled - Polygon's Bhilai Mainnet Hard Fork will take place on 1st July 2025 @ 09:00 UTC, and brings a number of improvements to the protocol.

Bhilai primarily includes four PIP's:

PIP-60: Increase gas limit to 45M
PIP-58: Increase BaseFeeChangeDenominator to 64
PIP-61: Pectra EIPs
PIP-66: Allow early block announcements

Scheduled - Blockdaemon will update Avalanche mainnet and testnet nodes to v1.13.2 on 06/30/2025. We are updating our nodes due to a release from the Avalanche foundation. This update applies to all Blockdaemon Avalanche mainnet and testnet nodes.

We have tested the release and we expect up to 15 minutes of downtime as a result of the update. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your Technical Account Manager.

Please be advised the following API and config changes are included in this release:

APIs
- Added ProposerVM block timestamp metrics: avalanche_proposervm_last_accepted_timestamp
- Added network health check to alert if a primary network validator has no ingress connections. Runs a configurable time after startup or 10 minutes by default.

Configs
Added:
--proposervm-min-block-duration
--network-no-ingress-connections-grace-period to configure how long after startup it is expected for a Mainnet validator to have received an ingress connection.
