Polygon's mainnet will undergo a major network migration from Heimdall v1 -> Heimdall v2 on 07/10/2025. The migration will occur between 2 and 5 PM UTC. As soon as the halt height 24404500 is reached, the Polygon team will create the v2 genesis and distribute to the community. The migration will cause up to two hours of downtime for mainnet.

Heimdall v2 brings a number of changes to the protocol:

PIP-62 – Heimdall v2 Migration Overview
PIP-44 – Cosmos SDK 0.50.x Upgrade
PIP-43 – CometBFT Integration
