Scheduled

Blockdaemon will update all Avalanche nodes to AvalancheGo v1.14.0 on November 18, 2025 at 10:00 UTC.
We are updating our nodes due to the official release for Avalanche. There may be planned downtime of up to ten minutes.

Summary of Technical Changes
• Activates Avalanche Community Proposals ACP-181 (P-Chain Epoched Views), ACP-204 (secp256r1 curve precompile), and ACP-226 (Dynamic Minimum Block Times) on Mainnet.
• Updates the plugin version to 44, requiring all associated plugins to upgrade for compatibility.
• Introduces changes to libevm hook registration, requiring manual registration of EVM modifications for consumers of avalanchego as a library.
• Expands APIs, including support for multiple Avalanche-Api-Route headers, new proposervm gRPC/connectrpc/jsonrpc endpoints (e.g., GetProposedHeight, GetCurrentEpoch), and a new platformvm platform.GetAllValidatorsAt API.
• Adjusts configuration defaults, including setting proposerMinBlockDelay to 0 for L1s other than the Primary Network.
• Improves bootstrapping ETA predictions and related node behavior for more accurate synchronization estimates.

Customer Impact
During this maintenance window, Avalanche-related services backed by Blockdaemon infrastructure may experience brief unavailability or transient errors while nodes are restarted and upgraded. Any interruption is expected to be limited to the planned downtime of up to ten minutes, after which services should resume normal operation.

Additional Information
Blockdaemon has validated this release and does not anticipate unexpected disruptions beyond any stated downtime.
