Scheduled

Blockdaemon will update all Polygon nodes to Erigon v3.3.0 and Bor v2.5.0 on November 19, 2025 at 10:00 UTC.
We are updating our nodes due to the official release for Polygon. There may be planned downtime of up to ten minutes.

Summary of Technical Changes
• Activates the Madhugiri and MadhugiriPro hard forks on mainnet (MadhugiriPro only on Amoy), aligning Polygon clients with upcoming protocol changes.
• Implements PIP-74 to include state sync transactions, improving handling and inclusion of state sync txs in blocks.
• Integrates upstream geth changes for EIP-7823, EIP-7825, and EIP-7883, including an increased block gas limit of 33,554,432 gas.
• Delivers performance and reliability improvements such as parallel block import, fixes for stateless node reporting, trie cache handling, and historic database reads.
• Updates consensus parameters including Madhugiri block numbers, consensus block time, gas caps, and related configuration for Amoy and mainnet.

Customer Impact
During the upgrade window, Polygon-based services hosted by Blockdaemon may be temporarily unavailable for up to ten minutes while nodes are restarted and updated. Customers may experience temporary errors, failed or delayed transaction submissions, and intermittent issues when querying Polygon network data until the upgrade is complete.

Additional Information
Blockdaemon has validated this release and does not anticipate unexpected disruptions beyond any stated downtime.
