Update
The scheduled time for the X Layer RPC node migration has been adjusted. Blockdaemon will now migrate all X Layer RPC nodes to a new node architecture on Monday, October 27th, 2025, at 16:30 UTC.
This is a change from the previously announced time of 12:30 UTC. This migration replaces the legacy X Layer mainnet/testnet environment with a fresh deployment. The duration of planned downtime remains the same, up to 4 hours.
Summary This migration introduces a new Docker-based RPC node setup for X Layer, featuring updated bootnode configurations, new environment variables, and improved deployment automation. The legacy chain data is incompatible with the new configuration, requiring a full redeployment.
Customer Impact During the migration window, X Layer RPC endpoints will be temporarily unavailable. Customers may experience errors or failed requests when attempting to access RPC data or submit transactions. Service will automatically resume once the new nodes are online.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
