Avalanche Mainnet will undergo the Granite Hard Fork on Wednesday, 19 November 2025 at 16:00 UTC (11:00 AM ET). This upgrade brings a number of improvements to the protocol:

Summary of Technical Changes
This release activates the following Avalanche Community Proposals (ACPs):
• ACP-181 – P-Chain Epoched Views: Introduces improved consensus efficiency and state management through epoch-based P-Chain views.
• ACP-204 – Precompile for secp256r1 Curve Support: Adds native support for the secp256r1 elliptic curve, enabling broader interoperability and cryptographic flexibility for smart contracts.
• ACP-226 – Dynamic Minimum Block Times: Implements dynamic block time adjustments based on network conditions, optimizing performance and transaction throughput.

Customer Impact
No downtime is expected. Customers operating Avalanche Mainnet endpoints should not experience service interruption during the Granite Hard Fork activation.
