Scheduled

Blockdaemon will update all XLayer Sepolia network nodes to the Jovian Hardfork ready versions on Wednesday, 27 November 2025 at 11:00 UTC.
We are updating our nodes in line with the official Xlayer network schedule. There will be planned downtime of up to 10 minutes during this maintenance window.

Summary of Technical Changes
• Cannon Go 1.24 support: Upgrading the on-chain fault proof virtual machine implementation to support Go 1.24.
• Configurable Minimum Base Fee: Allows chain operators to specify a minimum base fee to shorten the length of priority fee auctions (disabled by default).
• Data Availability Footprint Block Limit: Adds an in-protocol limit to estimated DA usage of transactions to prevent DA spam and priority fee auctions (enabled by default; can be disabled via zero scalar on-chain).

Customer Impact
During the scheduled maintenance window, customers may experience brief interruptions in access to Sepolia network endpoints across all XLayer while nodes upgrade to the Jovian Hardfork.

Additional Information
Blockdaemon has validated this release and does not anticipate unexpected disruptions beyond the stated downtime.
