Scheduled
Blockdaemon will update all OP Superchains Sepolia network nodes — including Optimism, Base, Ink, Soneium, and Unichain — to the Jovian Hardfork ready versions on Wednesday, 19 November 2025 at 14:30 UTC. We are updating our nodes in line with the official Optimism network schedule. There will be planned downtime of up to ten minutes during this maintenance window.
Summary of Technical Changes • Cannon Go 1.24 support: Upgrading the on-chain fault proof virtual machine implementation to support Go 1.24. • Configurable Minimum Base Fee: Allows chain operators to specify a minimum base fee to shorten the length of priority fee auctions (disabled by default). • Data Availability Footprint Block Limit: Adds an in-protocol limit to estimated DA usage of transactions to prevent DA spam and priority fee auctions (enabled by default; can be disabled via zero scalar on-chain).
Customer Impact During the scheduled maintenance window, customers may experience brief interruptions in access to Sepolia network endpoints across all OP Superchains while nodes upgrade to the Jovian Hardfork.
Additional Information Blockdaemon has validated this release and does not anticipate unexpected disruptions beyond the stated downtime. Release notes: https://docs.optimism.io/notices/upgrade-17 If you have any questions, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
