Scheduled

Blockdaemon will update all Arbitrum nodes to Nitro v3.9.0 on November 19, 2025 at 14:00 UTC.
We are updating our nodes due to the official release for Arbitrum. There may be planned downtime of up to 10 minutes.

Summary of Technical Changes
• Adds support for ArbOS50; all nodes are required to upgrade before ArbOS50 is enabled on each respective chain.
• Removes the deprecated --execution.rpc.state-scheme configuration flag.
• Introduces support for the new beacon chain /blobs RPC endpoint and related L2 gas/pricing improvements.
• Improves robustness of validation, data posting, and blob client behavior through enhanced error handling and logging.
• Includes numerous bug fixes and performance improvements across sequencer, batch posting, and state initialization flows.

Customer Impact
During the maintenance window, customers using Arbitrum-based services may experience up to 10 minutes of downtime, including temporary request errors or brief unavailability, while nodes are restarted and upgraded. No impact is expected outside of this scheduled window.

Additional Information
Blockdaemon has validated this release and does not anticipate unexpected disruptions beyond any stated downtime.
