Blockdaemon will update all Westend, Kusama and Polkadot nodes to Sidecar API to v19.0.0 on 04/25/24. We are updating our nodes due to an urgent release from the Parity foundation. This update applies to all Blockdaemon Westend, Kusama and Polkadot nodes. There will be planned downtime of up to 5 minutes per node.
Please be aware of the breaking changes that Sidecar API v19.0.0 introduces; - fix!: add new staking storage items (#1432) (317edba) The payouts for eras after the v1.2.0 runtime upgrade are now retrieved and returned in the endpoint's response. The payouts are retrieved by using the new storage items erasStakersPaged and erasStakersOverview. The use of erasStakersClipped is deprecated but still supported. It will be completely removed in the future. - fix!: staking payouts change claimed value (#1429) (abf4d9d) Payouts with claimed false are now retrieved and returned in the endpoint's response. Payouts are now retrievable from any block height within the queried era.
We are testing the release and do not anticipate any unexpected downtime other than mentioned above as a result of the update. This release will go ahead subject to successful testing. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
