Blockdaemon will update all ethereum nodes running the Geth client to v1.16.8 on 01/13/26. We are updating our nodes due to a critical release from the Ethereum Foundation. This update applies to all Blockdaemon Ethereum-Geth Testnet and Mainnet nodes.

We do not anticipate any unexpected downtime other than the maintenance window described. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your Customer Support Manager.

As this is a sensitive release, the release will only be available after 16:00 UTC and will be available for review here;
